Mobility Scooters

Mobility Scooter Range

Types of Scooters

There are three types of mobility scooter to choose from, each with their own features and benefits. Transportable mobility scooters are lightweight, compact scooters that can be dismantled for ease of storage and transportation. This type is ideal for anyone looking to take their scooter on holiday, whether home or abroad, or for days out and about. Pavement mobility scooters are great for short trips out, whether you're going shopping or visiting friends.

With a maximum speed of 4mph, a pavement mobility scooter will get you from A to B quickly and comfortably. 6-8 MPH scooters are sturdy, road-worthy scooters with a maximum speed between 6-8mph. Fitted with a large, more powerful battery, this type of scooter is great for longer distances or journeys on-road, keeping you safe and secure from beginning to end.

Considerations

With every scooter fitted with its own features, you'll need to consider what's a priority to you. If you struggle with movement and a lack of strength in your arms you may want to consider buying a scooter with an easy-to-control delta tiller system.
If you're looking for ease of access a scooter with a swivel seat and adjustable armrests may be best for you. Looking to travel at night? Then a scooter with lights and reflectors is your safest option. The variation in options is endless, which is why you need to think about what's important to you.

Midrange Scooters

If you are using a scooter to go from your home to a local shop or post office in your area and it is your main source of mobility you should consider our Mid Range scooters.

This type of scooter is not generally classed as Car transportable as they are heavier to lift and more difficult to dismantle. If you are considering transporting this size of scooter you may have to consider using ramps or a car hoist to make your life easier.

Midsize Scooters usually have larger batteries allowing you to travel longer distances and larger size tyres to overcome low kerbs and uneven pavements.
